Restaurant “Vincents”

Since its opening in 1994, Vincents Restaurant has been recognized as one of the most celebrated places in Northern Europe by true gourmets. The high reputation of the restaurant is known far beyond Latvia. Exquisite cuisine of the chef Martins Ritinsha was appreciated by such outstanding personalities and subtle connoisseurs as the Emperor of Japan, Prince Charles, Elton John, Angela Merkel, George Bush, Heston Blumenthal, and many others.

Restaurant Vincents is located in one of the most picturesque districts of Riga, built in the Jugendstil, a 15-minute walk from Old Riga.

The menu of the restaurant also includes a regular dinner and dishes for special occasions. In the restaurant “Vincents” the menu is always well thought out and corresponds to the season.

Restaurant Vincents maintains close links with small peasant farms, producers of products – adherents of Slow Food philosophy. By purchasing from them products for the restaurant directly without intermediaries. He buys the products of the latest and the highest quality, therefore, the menu changes almost weekly and corresponds to the times of the year.

Restaurant Vincents is recognized as the best in Latvia for the second year in a row.

With the participation of an international jury, the best restaurants of Latvia were determined for the second year in a row, and like last year, the title of “The Best Restaurant of Latvia’s 2014 Ekselence” was awarded to “Vincents”.

At the ceremony, several special prizes were announced. The Martell Prize was awarded to Martins Ritinsch as the best chef and the restaurant “Vincents” received the “Excelence 2014 Best Dessert” special prize.

The best sommelier of the Baltic countries is Kaspars Reitups from the restaurant Vincents.

17.10 In the ninth time of the Vana Tallinn Grand Prix competition, the best sommelier of the Baltic countries was recognized by Kaspars Reitups from Latvia (Vincents). The title of the best sommelier of the Baltic States remains in Latvia for the third year in a row. The Old Tallinn Grand Prix has become the most important sommelier tournament in the Baltic countries.
