The fish Restaurant Le Dome is located in the heart of Riga’s old town, only a 5-minute walk from the famous Dome Cathedral and the waterfront.
Maris Astić, in charge of the kitchen of the Le Dome restaurant, is a member of the Latvian chefs’ club, the inventor of unique recipes, a tireless experimenter and a hunter with experience.
Once he participated in the opening of “Le Dome”, then cooked in the best restaurants in Riga and won in gastronomic competitions.
“You can enter the same river as many times as you like,” Maris once told himself and returned to Le Dome.
Now he lures guests with new culinary ideas, four times a year updating the menu. Maris remains faithful exclusively to seasonal local products. His favorite ingredients are Latvian eel, catfish, pike perch, pike rabbit, venison and wild boar. And in the summer and autumn, Maris leaves for the forest to collect chanterelles, mushrooms, strawberries, cranberries, junipers and cloudberries, which they later use to prepare the most delicious dishes. His talent for discovering the unexpected properties of familiar products admires the guests of the fashionable culinary studios “Gemoss” and “Viesistaba”, where the master classes of Marisa are sold out.
